As Covid-19 emerged a global pandemic, CRDO was among the first to carry out an in-depth analysis and understand the magnitude of the problem urging people to even cancel our most celebrated BIZU MELA. Consequently on April 13, CRDO published a document outlining the problem, impact analysis on various segments and recommendations /guidelines on how to deal with the Covid-19 situation which continue to be our guiding document.
You can read the recommendations here :
CRDO has also stressed the need for a more collaborative, coordinated approach in solidarity with each other amongst Chakma NGOs as well as with other stakeholders and the administration.
CRDO is thankful to the many volunteers joining CRDO in large numbers from every corners – front-line workers / volunteers who are contributing selflessly against all odds, braving rain, hailstorm and hostile weather in the service of our stranded brethren during these difficult times.
CRDO has and will continue to play its role and work with all individuals and organizations in the service and greater interest of our society. Although CRDO has limited resources, but the resolve to fight this pandemic and the associated human and economic tragedy is as high as ever.
